My yoga journey began during my college years. Never an athlete, I sought out physical wellness through yoga at the urging of my mother (after all, she knows best, right?!).

I was immediately hooked and practiced daily during a summer break from school. Once classes resumed, my practice took a back seat, but the urge to continue my journey was still within me. After graduating from college, I returned to my practice and started training to become a certified yoga teacher.

In 2009, I completed a 200-hour level Hatha Teacher Training with Global Yoga Center in Chicago, a Yoga Alliance certified training that encompassed nearly all forms of practice. From Anusara to Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Kundilini, my training exposed me to various forms of practice.

I incorporate techniques from many disciplines into my classes to expose students to the various ways to travel the path to enlightenment. Mostly though, my classes are Hatha based, with focus on breathing, stability and alignment, and meditation.

I encourage experimentation in asana and meditation practices and believe that enlightenment is only attainable when one is able to tune in to their inner Self. In other words: be truthful in your practice; do what is right for you!

I enjoy bringing the teachings of yoga to new students and believe that everyone can access the benefits of a yoga practice to foster their connection between mind and body. I love to see more advanced students reach their goals, and I offer challenges to them when they are ready.

My classes are fun, informative and encouraging. I continue to develop my own practice and teaching techniques by attending classes and workshops.
